How Pelletizing Works
Compact the sample powder into a hard, flat-surfaced pellet for XRF measurement. It is fast and low in cost per sample, so it suits routine quality control.
- Fill the die
Pour the sample powder into the prepared die.
- Press with high force
The press applies from 15 to 40 tonnes, in manual or automatic electric models.
- A pellet ready to measure
You get a hard, flat pellet that goes straight into the XRF.
Applications
What Are Pressed Pellets Used For?

Cement and Raw Materials
Daily quality control of clinker and cement with quickly made pellets.

Ores and Minerals
Routine screening and quality control of minerals.

Soil and Sediment
Prepare soil and sediment samples for XRF element analysis.

Production-Line QC
On-site labs that need fast results at low cost per sample.
Selection guide
Choosing a press
Benchtop ED-XRF
Start with the VANEOX 15 t or 25 t manual — enough for standard pellets and modest volumes.
High daily volume
VANEOX 25 t electric — automatic, reducing operator-to-operator variation; suited to WD-XRF labs.
Many methods, many pellet sizes
VANEOX 40 t — 10 programmable pressure/time recipes for varied samples.
