Multi-Purpose, High-Resolution XRD — Explorer by GNR
The Explorer is a multi-purpose, high-resolution X-ray diffractometer in vertical Theta/Theta geometry, driven by direct-drive torque motors with optical encoders. The smallest selectable step size is 0.0001° and angular accuracy is better than ±0.01° over a 2θ range of −110° to 168° (depending on accessories). Its 3 kW generator needs cooling water — Two Theta can supply a recirculating chiller alongside it.

Installation
Installation and cooling water
GNR specifies a minimum cooling-water flow of 4 L/min at 4–6 bar (without the optional water chiller); maximum power consumption is 10 kVA including the chiller. Two Theta can supply a recirculating chiller alongside it.
